Yeast Brink, Kegmentor, Cellar Topping Keg, 30L, 4" neck
This is a open-top stainless steel fermentation vessel also called kegmenter or fermentation keg equipped with Tri-Clamp (TC) sanitary fittings instead of standard Sankey spear valves.
Top 4" TC Port (large lid with clamp) is the main access port:
- Filling the vessel with wort
- Adding hops or fruit (dry hopping)
- Pitching yeast
- Cleaning the inside (CIP spray ball can be mounted)
- Monitoring the fermentation
- This port replaces a traditional brewery manway.
How brewers use kegmenters
They function like small unitank fermenters:
- Ferment under pressure (8 -15 psi typically)
- Carbonate in the same vessel
- Transfer to serving kegs without oxygen exposure
- Use with spunding valves via a TC adapter
- Attach a cooling coil (stainless immersion coil via 4" lid)
